ESPN2 is supposed to be showing Galaxy vs. Chivas right now, for the past half hour actually this game is supposed to have been on ESPN2. I’m only writing because the game is not being shown. A WNBA game is just heading into the third overtime.
Normally I wouldn’t think too much of it, I’d switch it over to ESPN2Alternate which they have just for situations like this. But I switch over to ESPN2Alternate to see what? The same WNBA game that is on ESPN2. WTF is the point of that.
Again on a normal night I might not be so surprised but ESPN sure wants to make such a deal out of the englishman that will be starting for the Galaxy tonight. But they can’t take a freaking WNBA game off of the alternate channel even.
For those of you that don’t know, WNBA is womens basketball.

honestly…do you think the quality of this game deserves to preempt anything short of the rock paper scissors championship? i’ve seen alot of shitty mls games but this one may take the cake, the galaxy are so, so, so, so bad it’s barely worth watching…normally i’d laugh but it really is kinda pathetic. alexi lalas probably needs to be fired, this looks like a game in a public park on sunday. horrible.
My major complaint was that they had the very same basketball game one ESPN2 AND ESPN2Alternate. ESPN2Alternate is supposed to be used for stuff exactly like this. Basketball game goes late, start showing the regularly scheduled soccer game on ESPN2Alternate until the basketball game is over….
I’d rather watch an MLS game of the quality you describe above than basketball any day.
I suppose Chivas fans probably had a great time watching the game last night.
Had to turn off ESPN’s attempt at airing Germany - Poland after watching the game for less than 5 minutes. The graphics on the screen cover up the play with useless information that the damn commentator reads out load anyway. Keep the damn screen free of clutter and let us watch the game! The latin channels know how to do this as well as the ones back home of course.
