Toronto really likes soccer

Toronto FC is pretty popular, and they have not even played a regular season game yet. 14,000 season tickets sold for their newly constructed (under construction?) 20,000 seat stadium. That is pretty awesome for a new team such as Toronto FC considering 14,000 was the season ticket cap, so they sold out!

I don’t have the stats, but I wonder how many season tickets the other teams have sold. I’ll try to get ahold of those stats and post them here. I’d be surprised if anyone other than LA (post Beckham announcement) have sold this many season tickets.

    I’m a season ticket holder myself and I cannot express how excited I am to be part of this inaugural season for the team. I am part of the Red Sea Firm, and we are Toronto’s most passionate firm. See us in section 110!!!

    Great to hear Anderw, I’m not a Toronto FC fan myself but it is exciting to see any soccer team in MLS get such great fan support.
