MLS settles dispute with the National Association of Realtors

I guess MLS is going to be changing its name due to the realtors use of the MLS acronym.  Read the full story here.

They actually had me going for a second, but then I got to the 2nd sentence and it clicked.  Should have noticed the category that post was put into right away.

    This is incredible. From my understanding they are also requesting that real estate agents stop from posting the term MLS on their websites and advertising materials.

    Its also facing a lot of criticism from the real estate community. I’ll be surprised if it goes much further though.

    It seems to me that the term MLS is more of a descriptive term. Yes, it is true that real estate agents are battling this one also. It will be interesting to see what happens.
