MLS rejects bid from England for Twellman

Preston North End are currently in last place in the English Coca Cola Championship.  They need a proven goal scorer and apparently want that guy to be Taylor Twellman.  The New England Revolution have reportedly turned down an $800,000 offer that would take Twellman to England to play the Championship’s last place team.  Former MLS Star Brian McBride spent sime time with Preston North End in 2000.

Sporting Life reports that Preston are likely to make an improved offer for Twellman.  I personally can’t imagine they’ll convince MLS to let Twellman go for anything close to $800,000 or even twice that much.  He’s just too valuable to the league and the Revolution.
