MLS Cup 2009: Real Salt Lake vs LA Galaxy

MLS Cup 2009

Real Salt Lake (#4 East) vs LA Galaxy (#1 West)

The semi-final tonight between Real Salt Lake and the Chicago Fire was a wild one.  Some people might say 120 minutes with no scoring is a boring game – but this was far from boring.  The game eventually went to a shootout and went to 7 shooters before Nick Rimando took over saving the last couple of Fire PKs.

Real Salt Lake had the better of the Galaxy during this past regular season with a single win and a single draw.  Will they be able to continue in their first ever MLS Cup Final?  Any predictions?  I’ll have mine later this coming week.

With Beckham and Donovan, many people expect the Galaxy are going to win the MLS CUP! GO GALAXY!

Yeah – the Galaxy will probably be favored, but RSL has been pretty hot the last month or so. It should be an exciting game!

Whoever thinks RSL is gonna win then you must be puffing some RSL kush.Cuz the galaxy are super heated right now. They’ve beated the best in the playoffs more than what RSL has done and in the season.Galaxy deserve the gold more than any team right now. They have the talent and the spirit more than RSL.Galaxy are just a dominant team which have the powertools which are Beckham,Donovan,Gonzales, we just have it all right now and not to mention Donovin Ricketts.Thats what you call a goal keeper. To think RSL are gonna have a easy game.Pleease…yea so good luck #4.Your gonna need a big strategy when you step on the field with the Los Angeles Galaxy(which are #1)

They’ve beated the best in the playoffs?

Actually RSL beat the Columbus Crew who had the best record in MLS. So RSL beat the #1 team in MLS.

RSL was actually #5 in the West but that gave them the #4 spot in the East. Overall the game is really #2(Galaxy) vs. #8(RSL).

Who said RSL are gonna have an easy game?
