How much does it cost to sponsor an MLS team?

The newest team in the league already has a sponsorship deal. Seattle will be sponsored by Microsoft and XBox 360 Live for $20 million over the first 5 years of the team’s existence.

Just off the top of my head these are the other teams that have jersey sponsorship deals:

LA Galaxy - Herbalife
DC United - Volkswagon
Real Salt Lake - Xango
Columbus Crew - Glidden
New York - Red Bull
Chicago Fire - Best Buy
Houston Dynamo - Amigo Energy
Toronto FC - BMO
Chivas USA - Comex

Did I miss any? What would be good sponsors for the remaining teams that don’t have a company logo on the front of their shirts?

    Wow! This is great news that the soccer companies are using it in their uniforms the brand name xango which is very exciting to hear. I recommend that this is a great move.
