The LA Galaxy beat TFC last nite at the Home Depot Center too keep their amazing winning streak alive and to keep the door to the playoffs wide open.  They control their own destiny with only 2 games remaining.  On Thursday the New York Red Bulls will be at the Home Depot Center and then Sunday they travel to Chicago which could be a loser out winner in scenario.

The Kansas City Wizards could have wrapped up a playoff spot in NY yesterday, but 2 JPA goals has kept the Wizards waiting for the final game of the season to assure themselves some post season play.  The Wizards will be in FC Dallas on the last day of the season and don’t necessarily need a win to move on.

The Chicago Fire and Kansas City Wizards are in 7th and 8th place right now.  The Columbus Crew, Colorado Rapids and LA Galaxy are the teams on the outside looking in right now.  The Rapids play their second to last game of the season later this afternoon the hot Chivas USA.  That could put and end to their playoff hopes today.  Later this afternoon we’ll have a little better look at the playoff pictures.
