Darren Huckerby to replace Ben Olsen?

Ben Olsen may be done for the season, done for good. Olsen has a bad ankle situation right now. I think he must have broke it when he was chasing his kid outside of Dick’s Sporting Goods the day his son put on that Beckham jersey. See below:

Well anyway, rumors are going around that former Manchester City striker Darren Huckerby could be coming to to fill the Ben Olsen role. Huckerby has made a move from Manchester City to Norwich City but now has been told that he won’t be a part of Norwich in the future. His contract is up in June and there has been a lot of speculation about Huckerby coming to play in LA, Toronto, and DC. Now it seems DC is the only team that has shown interest in him, maybe due to the loss of Olsen.

I’d be pretty happy if Huckerby joined my team. What do you think - would you like Huckerby on your team?

    What?

I suppose you will tell me next that Olsen and Brian Ching don’t often hang out at Dick’s Sporting Goods together - kicking around balls.

Norwich loves Huckerby and Huckerby loves Norwich. I think I read that he’d never want to play against Norwich. That is some loyalty! You Norwich fans must have really treated him well. Too bad he has to go.

Hucks is a geezer, he’s the reason the Canaries got relegated from the EPL (cause he wasn’t scoring) and the reason they almost got relegated from Champ League

wow aren’t you bitter- they say the only reason they got to the premier league was hucks that the only reason they were close to staying up was hucks and his numerous goals during his time at norwich has seen them do very well- at least better then if he wasn’t there. i’d be first in line to get his jersey the day they signed him.. don’t think we have the salary though to get him… he’d do a lot better for us then our current foreign savior…

Don’t get me wrong I like him, he’s a workhorse. In order to stay up in the EPL though, you need a stable full of thoroughbreds. He’ll do great in the MLS and if joins up with DC United I’ll be first in line to buy his jersey

Your current foreign savior (one of them) I heard was just promoted to a DP slot. The one that is supposed to score all the goals - that guy - how many goals does he have this year? What do they need to do to turn everything around?
