FC Dallas has the distinction of being the last remaining unbeaten team in this 2008 MLS season. Two draws followed by 2 wins has FC Dallas in third place on the single table and top of the West. Tonight they face off against annual MLS Cup runners up New England Revolution at Pizza Hut Park.
The Revolution could be missing Taylor Twellman, Steve Ralston, Chris Albright, Jeff Larentowicz, and Sainey Nyassi. FC Dallas shouldn’t expect an easy match even if none of these guys are able to see any playing time – the Revolution still have a lot of fire power available.
This is a tough game to predict with the way the Revolution have played so far this year. They could show up and dominate – or they could show up to be dominated. My MFLS prediction: Dallas 2 – 0 New England. Again, this pretty much ensures at least a point for the Revs so Revolution fans – you are welcome!
What do you predict on this one?
vs
New England Revolution (2-2-1) 7pts – 4th-T
FC Dallas (2-0-2) 8pts – 3rd
7:30 PM – ESPN2

Well I guess this year it is serious in LA. David Beckham wants to win something. I could think of best dressed – richest – most popular MLS player. I think those types of awards would be right up his alley.
I suppose an MLS Cup is more along the lines of what Beckham does want to win though. The Galaxy have had a couple of bad seasons including last year with minimal Beckham playing time due to a sprained ankle and then a sprained knee. The Galaxy finished the season with a great run that saw them miss the playoffs on the last day of the season by losing in Chicago.
Since last year the Galaxy brought back Carlos Ruiz from FC Dallas, but they traded away 2 starters. Joe Cannon went to the expansion San Jose Earthquakes and defender Chris Albright was traded off the the New England Revolution. Ruiz will for sure help in the goal scoring department but the missing Cannon and Albright is going to hurt. Both of those guys are potentials for the All Star game if they are healthy. Albright missed a lot of last season due to injury.
So, what do you think Beckham is going to win this coming season, if anything?
