It appears that Red Bull NY and Aston Villa have come to an agreement in order to get Juan Pablo Angel to come to New York and play for the Red Bulls. Angel, long time Columbian international, will fill the 2nd DP spot for the Red Bulls after Claudio Reyna filled the first.
After Sundays beat [...]
Striker Daniele Dichio has left Preston North End of England to join up with Toronto FC. Maybe Dichio will solve their yet-to-score-a-goal problems.

I have a really hard time beleiving this could even be close to true, but it keeps coming up. I haven’t actually heardLalas talking about Zidane, but they claim it happened. Aparently they are talking about brining Zidane to the Galaxy.
Here is a quote from VitalFootball.co.uk attributed to the Alexi Lalas in the Times:
‘Everything is [...]
Eddie Johnson didn’t have the best year last season with the Wizards. Before the game one of the announcers said that Eddie Johnson could beat his entire goal count from last season in their first game. He didn’t do it, but he is half way there already, and he’s got one man of the match [...]

My man Clint Mathis just notched a goal and assist vs FC Dallas, but I have no idea what these announcers are talking about. So I wonder [...]

Carlos Marinelli, a 25 year old Argentinian was just brought on by the Wizards earlier [...]
If you are a DC United fan reading here and you haven’t been reading the DCenters, what are you doing? This is one of the few soccer blogs that I read myself, and mostly I don’t read too much team specific blogs. So check out The DCenters all of you DC United fans.
Use any method [...]
The American Chronicle had an article yesterday about the complete lack of soccer coverage by ESPN, how great Manchester Uniteds beating of Roma was, and how boring golf and baseball are.
I agree with the author about getting more coverage of Major League Soccer, and right now ESPN should be the one doing it. It [...]
I finally got around to voting for the Sierra Mist Goal of the Week tonight. There wasn’t anything spectacular to vote for, but it seemed clear to me that Sacha Kljestan deserves the goal of the week, and aparently most of you agree, he had 49% of the votes. That brings me to [...]
With the addition of ESPN2s Thursday Night Futbol I’m excited enough about this to dedicate a page on the MLS Fan Blog. ESPN2 will be showing one MLS game each thursday throughout the whole season!
Check out the Thursday Night Futbol here.
